Abstract

Introduction: Condyloma latum is an uncommon pseudotumoral manifestation of secondary syphilis. These lesions are defined as plaques or nodules in the anogenital area, with a smooth, flat, or bumpy, moist surface. Its location in the extragenital area has been infrequently described. Our objective is to report a patient with flat warts due to their low infrequency. Case presentation: A 34-year-old pregnant woman, TG 26.5 weeks, with history of risky sexual behavior, comes to the clinic complaining that for about a month she has had genital lesions that she describes as white, lumpy, moist "balls" that they have been increasing in number and size; She refers that one or two months previously she presented a small "sore" on the labia majora, which was without discomfort and disappeared in a short period of time. The dermatological examination reveals a localized cutaneous picture made up of papular, rounded, greyish-white lesions with a smooth, moist surface, sizes ranging from 0.5 to 1 cm in diameter, more than twenty in number, located on the labia majora, labia minora, perineum and perianal region. Conclusions: It is always necessary to consider syphilis in a sexually active patient, since this disease is among the great simulators of Dermatology, together with sarcoidosis and mycosis fungoides.
