The history of medicine tells us about the greatest health catastrophes that have occurred in the course of the development of humanity since biblical times, with large epidemics that spread rapidly throughout many territories and caused a high mortality rate, with notable repercussions on the lives of people and human society. This article exposes the essential elements of the main pandemics that have hit humanity, until the most recent, Covid-19.
